Google Mexico (www.google.com.mx) is the Google search page as produced for Mexico. Google Mex homepage is a clone of the Classic Google homepage with localized Mexican functionality. From Mexico Google you can undertake searches that have a Spanish bias, with MX Google in Spanish or English.

Google MX search can be viewed in languages other than Spanish (Español). To achieve this you can utilise the Google mx webhp function. Another trick is to increase the Mexico bias to show only Mexican sites.

Mexico Google looks like the Google classic homepage except that it has 'México' under the 'le' of Google and the redirection function set to 'Google.com' (in the language that you selected as your main local language, e.g. 'Google.com in English').

Sometimes Google Mex homepage has celebration-specific graphics that reflect special days in the Mexican calendar, just like all other versions of Google.

MX Google (www google com mx) can be accessed in several different ways that bypass the automatic redirection of Google localised search or Google (www google com) homepage search:

1. Just type 'http://www.google.com.mx/' to access Google Mexico in Spanish.

2. Access the English version of Google Mexico with 'Http://Www.google.com.mx/webhp?hl=en'.

3. You can access GoogleTheGlobe and click on the Mexico flag.

4. You can obtain Google MX search results by adding or changing the “gl” parameter of the Google search URL, for example 'http://google.com/search?q=google&gl=mx'.

5. Enter 'http://www.google.com.mx/intl/es/', which redirects to Google Mexico in Spanish 'http://www.google.com.mx/webhp?hl=es' or 'http://www.google.com.mx/intl/en/', which redirects to Google Mex in English.

The following specialised Google search functions are available from the top left of your Google Mex home page:

1. Google Imágenes (Google Images)– search images.

2. Google Videos– search videos.

3. Google Notícias (Google News)– search for news on any particular subject.

4. Google Libros (Google Bookshop)– search for books.

5. Google Traductor(Translation)– translate web pages, sentences or words..

For the above Google Mex search facilities your search “query” is passed from a previous Google search box.

Google Gmail is also accessible from Google Mexico homepage either to access your Google Gmail account or to register for a free Google account.

The top left-hand side of Google ES homepage also has a [Más] link. Here you will find Blogs, Tiempo real (Google Realtime), YouTube, Calendar, Docs, Reader, Sites, Grupos (Google Groups).

 From the top right hand corner of the ES Google page there are links to:

• Configuración de búsqueda (Search settings, i.e. preferences)

At the right of the Google Mexico search entry box there is access to "Herram idioma" (Language tools), and "Búsqueda avanzada" (Advanced search).

Below the Google UK search box there are also links to Google information about business solutions (Soluciones Empresariales) and 'About Google' (Todo acerca de Google).

To access Google Mexico in Spanish:

But you can change Mexico Google to be in languages other than Spanish by using and changing the ISO 639-2 code, as shown in the () against the language below, in the 'hl=es' element of the URL http://www.google.com.mx/webhp?hl=es

which becomes:

for Mex Google in English.

You can view just pages from Mexico but only in Spanish. To do this you use the following Firefox URL:

You do not need to run the Firefox browser to use this. When on the Firefox page ensure the Buscar (Search) 'páginas escritas en español' or 'páginas de México' button is set, instead of Buscar 'la Web' button.
